I was Looking for homes for sale on the MLS in the area for a buyer client the other day and noticed so many property listings. That is no surprise…The surprise was that there were so many sellers homes on the market that shouldn’t have even bothered with all the time, money, stress and energy invested in the property listing.
There are so many homes to choose from now for sale and standing out among the competition is key. Many of the homes on the mls had no additional pictures (now come on…how hard is that with technology today?) aside from the first. Some have a minimal or no description of the property (you can say something about every property to draw buyers, if not they view other homes and buy one of your competition).
The feature area of the listing is not filled in at all or minimally (some real estate agents and buyers search via the features like fireplace, air conditioning, appliances, ceilings etc).
The key to selling a home is to reach the buyers and grab their attention. If your real estate agent is not going to market your property and work in your best interest, then why bother?
